SKinGLoe ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the choices available to you when you use the SKinGLoe mobile application and related services.

Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use SKinGLoe:
Account Information
NameUsed to personalise your experience within the app.
Email addressUsed for account authentication, login, and important service communications.
PasswordStored as a secure hash. We never store your password in plain text.
Skin & Health Data
Skin photosImages you submit for AI-powered skin analysis. Used solely to generate your scan results.
Skin type & concernsSelected during onboarding to personalise product and routine recommendations.
Scan resultsGlow score, pore, hydration, texture, redness, and tone metrics generated from your scans.
Fitzpatrick scaleYour skin tone classification, used to calibrate analysis accuracy.
Usage & Device Data
Routine activitySteps completed, day streaks, AM/PM routine check-ins.
Subscription statusYour plan tier (free or Pro) and payment status via Razorpay.

How We Use Your Data
We use the information we collect exclusively to operate and improve SKinGLoe. Specifically:
To create and manage your account and authenticate your sessions.
To perform AI-powered skin analysis and generate your personal Glow Score and skin metrics.
To provide personalised skincare routine suggestions and product recommendations.
To track your progress over time and show you trend data on your skin health.
To send you push notifications about your daily skincare routine (only if you have enabled notifications).
To process subscription payments and manage your Pro plan via Razorpay.
To maintain the security and reliability of the service.
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your skin photos or health data for any purpose other than generating your scan results.

AI & Skin Analysis
SKinGLoe uses Google's Gemini AI vision model to analyse skin photos you submit. When you initiate a scan, your image is transmitted securely to the Gemini API for processing. The analysis evaluates 84 skin markers including pore size, hydration, texture, tone, redness, and active blemishes.
Skin photos submitted for analysis are processed in real time and are not retained by the AI provider beyond the duration of the API request. Results are stored in your SKinGLoe account so you can track changes over time.
AI-generated results are intended for informational and cosmetic tracking purposes only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified dermatologist for medical skin concerns.

Third-Party Services
SKinGLoe integrates with the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:
Google Gemini AIProcesses skin photos for analysis. Data shared: the image submitted for scanning.
Firebase Cloud MessagingDelivers push notifications. Data shared: your device FCM token (if notifications are enabled).
RazorpayProcesses payments for Pro subscriptions. SKinGLoe does not store your payment card details.
We do not share your name, email, skin data, or scan history with any of these providers beyond what is strictly necessary to deliver the service described above.

Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in the cloud. We use industry-standard measures to protect your information, including:
Passwords are hashed using bcrypt before storage — your actual password is never saved.
All data in transit between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
Authentication uses short-lived JWT tokens with expiry enforcement.
Access to the database is restricted to authorised systems and personnel only.
While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your SKinGLoe account.

Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:
Access — Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Correction — Update your name, skin type, or other profile details at any time within the app.
Deletion — Request that we delete your account and all associated personal data.
Portability — Request an export of your scan history and progress data.
Withdraw consent — Disable push notifications at any time from within the app or your device settings.
Opt out — Cancel your Pro subscription at any time; you will retain access until the end of the billing period.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details in Section 9.
Delete your account: you can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account in the app, or follow the steps at skingloe/delete.

Children's Privacy
SKinGLoe is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete that information.
Users between the ages of 13 and 18 should use SKinGLoe only with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or for other operational reasons. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email before the change takes effect.
The "Effective" date at the top of this document reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of SKinGLoe after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
